Turning 25

On Sunday 19th January I became 25 years old! Not going to lie, I think I've had a bit of a quarter life crisis this year. Nevertheless my lovely friends joined me in celebrating and I had a great time.

From the Thursday before my birthday, over the weekend and for a few days afterwards I had meals, nights out and catch ups with my lovelies, it was brilliant!

Hugo Boss Range Plan

The first module that I did on my first year of my degree involved researching upcoming trends, creating trend boards, then creating lookboards, and finally creating a spring/summer range for a brand. I was given Hugo Boss and I chose womenswear and this is what I came up with.

The six trends:
Irridescence, 3D florals, Aqua, Sheer, Pink and Cobwebs.

I then chose two trends to take forward and create look-boards then ranges from. The first one being iridescence and the second being pink tones.

I've always been a fan of Chiara Ferragni (www.theblondesalad.com), I follow her on instagram and keep up with her blog as well as I can. When looking through some of her pictures I was really drawn to this outfit. I'm so into monochrome at the moment.. isn't everyone? And I especially love the double black leather, with the ripped knit underneath. Mixing soft and tough textures makes such a style statement, and the hat finishes it off perfectly. I have been wanting to try this sort of style for ages but I really don't know if I could pull it off!

Italy Planning!

I'm so excited to announce that in May (only a few months away!) I will be travelling to Italy with my uni class! We'll be visiting Rome and Florence, two beautiful cities that I have always wanted to visit. I did a good amount of travelling last year, and can't wait to get lots of fun things planned for 2014,  so as you can imagine I was ecstatic to find out not only that we'll be going to such amazing places but also that it's only a few weeks away and I can start planning right now!
